The 5 best champagne bars in Reims
Reims is far more than a breathtaking Gothic cathedral. It is a city that has made Champagne its reason for being for centuries β where the chalk cellars beneath the great houses give way to animated streets, convivial squares and addresses where you sit down for one glassβ¦ and stay for three. In Reims, drinking Champagne is not a luxury reserved for special occasions: it is an everyday culture, practised with the effortless chic of a city that knows exactly what it has.
Whether you're a curious newcomer, a seasoned enthusiast or simply someone in search of a golden hour well spent, here are five addresses where the bubbles have something to say.
Le Wine Bar by Le Vintage
France's best sparkling wine listSome addresses define a city's reputation. Le Wine Bar by Le Vintage is one of them. Installed on the lively Place du Forum, this bar is the worthy heir of La cave Le Vintage β a long-standing Reims institution β taken over and elevated by brothers Nicolas and Pierre-Louis Papavero. Since opening, it has become the city's most sought-after address, drawing both neighbourhood regulars and well-informed travellers in equal measure.
In 2026, Le Wine Bar by Le Vintage was named Best Sparkling Wine List β France by Star Wine List, the international reference platform for wine selection β for the second consecutive year. Nicolas Papavero and his team personally visit every listed producer and taste their entire ranges before any selection is made. The result is a vertiginous list of over 500 references β including some 200 Champagnes available by the glass β that honestly reflects the full diversity of Champagne's terroirs. The relaxed, convivial atmosphere does the rest: boards of local charcuterie, people who linger, a lively terrace in summer.

TrΓ©sors de Champagne
The home of independent growersTucked into the Boulingrin quarter, behind the celebrated Art Deco market hall, TrΓ©sors de Champagne is a place apart. It was born in 2015 from an idea carried by the Club TrΓ©sors de Champagne, an association founded in 1971 that today brings together around twenty artisan Champagne growers. The idea: to create a meeting point between these passionate producers and the public, in the heart of Reims.
From the moment you walk in, your eye is drawn to the ceiling covered in illuminated bottles β an effect as surprising as it is poetic. Over 170 cuvΓ©es from the most diverse terroirs of Champagne (Montagne de Reims, VallΓ©e de la Marne, CΓ΄te des Blancs, CΓ΄te des Bars) are on offer, united by an unwavering commitment to artisan quality. Each week, a selection is available by the glass. It is also one of the rare places in Reims where you can discover SpΓ©cial Club cuvΓ©es β exceptional vintages produced only in the finest years. Focused but accessible Εnological workshops round out the experience.

Le Six Bars
Half footballer, half vigneronLe Six Bars is the new address that has been turning heads since late 2024 in the Cernay quarter. Behind the counter: Antoine Devaux β whose unusual career path alone is enough to pique curiosity. A former midfielder for Stade de Reims turned sommelier, he honed his knowledge at La Grande Georgette, one of the city's most respected dining rooms, before taking over this establishment and bringing his own vision to it.
The soul of the place is sharing β but what really strikes you is the boldness of the wine list. Passionate about little-known estates and singular crus, Antoine Devaux offers a selection of Champagnes and wines from under-the-radar producers, where others settle for the familiar names. The food follows the same tightrope: inventive and convivial, conceived as an extension of the wine. You come to Le Six Bars for after-work drinks with colleagues, with friends on a Friday evening, or simply for a sharing board and some good conversation in a warm, unpretentious atmosphere. One to watch very closely.

Le Parvis
Champagne, truffle and caviarThere is a particular poetry to sipping Champagne opposite one of the most beautiful Gothic cathedrals in the world. Le Parvis, at 2 Rue Rockefeller on the corner of the Place du Cardinal Luçon, has fully understood this privilege. This champagne cellar, food bar and fine food shop changed hands in 2020, and the new energy that followed transformed the address into a genuine gastronomic and sensory experience.
Le Parvis plays on several registers with remarkable coherence. The cellar offers a carefully curated selection of Champagnes from both great houses and independent growers. The food bar lets you enjoy them on site alongside exceptional produce: whole truffle, caviar, and Reims's own specialities β rose biscuits from the Biscuiterie de Reims, Chocobulles. And if a bottle catches your heart, it can be shipped to most countries in the world. The elevated terrace with a direct view of Notre-Dame does the rest.

Le Coq Rouge
The institutionSince 2012, Le Coq Rouge has planted its flag on Rue Chanzy and never left. It is one of those rare places you naturally call an institution β not because it takes itself seriously, but precisely because it doesn't. From its original twenty-odd square metres, the venue expanded in 2019, and owner Baptiste Huttois continues to bring the energy that built the bar's reputation right across the city.
Over 250 wine and Champagne references: that number alone sets the tone. Baptiste Huttois's selection is the product of a genuine talent for hunting out the unexpected, capable of placing a world-famous nΓ©gociant bottle alongside a confidential cuvΓ©e from a young Champagne grower. The atmosphere? Standing tables that fill to overflowing, warm decor, generous boards of charcuterie and cheese, and a cΓ΄te de bΕuf that has become almost legendary in the neighbourhood. Le Coq Rouge is the place where you arrive saying "just one glass" and end up ordering the bottle.
